Yes, all doggy daycares must be licensed by the local council. We have strict guidelines to follow in terms of space per dog, heating, shelter, comfort, storing food, dog to staff ratios the list goes on.

1. All new customers will need to register their dog(s) with us first by completing a registration form either online or over the phone

2. Once this has been reviewed, you will be invited to an induction. This is a 2-hour, free temperament assessment where we can get to know your dog without you present, ensure they feel comfortable within the group setting and show you around our facilities.

Not every dog enjoys the daycare environment, so we can’t accept every dog.

3. Once your dog’s induction is complete and they are enrolled with our daycare, they are welcome to stay and play whenever suits you both. You can book by calling us on 07442744266 or email to info@heygooddog.co.uk (subject to availability).

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice of booking to secure your desired day.

To begin with, we will be welcoming 10 dogs each day to allow our founding pack to get established and in their routine. We will increase this over time. Places will be filled on a first come first serve basis.

Yes, and we will need to take a copy of your dog’s vaccine record before they attend daycare. Your dog must be up to date with the following vaccines:

• DHPPi: protection against distemper, canine hepatitis, parvovirus and parainfluenza. We accept dogs that are vaccinated up to every 3 years.
• Lepto (2 or 4): protection against leptospirosis. We accept dogs that are vaccinated every year against leptospirosis.
• Kennel Cough: must be vaccinated for at least 14 days before attending daycare. Booster every 12 months.

Yes, we have plenty of parking available for easy drop off and collection.

All staff are trained to deal with an emergency should it occur. If we have any concerns, you will be contacted immediately but if uncontactable we will take your dog to be examined by our registered veterinarian. Like children in a playground and due to the free-to-roam environment, bumps and strains can happen, but we are well versed in managing them should we need to.

We do not feed the dogs meals during the day unless a dog has a specific medical diet. We will provide your dog with treats (diet permitting) when appropriate however this will be managed to avoid any potential guarding or conflicts within the pack.

Due to limited availability all bookings are non-refundable within 72 hours of the scheduled booking, so please ensure when booking you are certain in your need for care.

We appreciate life is busy but please ensure you allow adequate time to collect your dog before closing, otherwise an automatic £10 late collection fee will be added to your bill for every half an hour used. If there is an emergency, please call us and keep us updated and we will always do all we can to help.

At Hey Good Dog we will only accept social dogs, who we think will enjoy the daycare environment. Our 2-step induction process will enable us to assess each dog’s temperament before they are accepted to daycare and ongoing reviews will take place as and when are necessary. By attending the same days each week, we expect the dogs to form their own ‘pack’ who they can’t wait to see each week!

Yes, your dog will be under constant supervision by our team of experienced carers.

Intact/ non – neutered males cannot be accepted in daycare. Intact / non-spayed females are allowed in daycare, however not while they are in season.

We accept bank transfers and cash. We can set up an account for you to make regular bookings with invoices issued at agreed intervals.
